At Placer Enrichment, we strive to create the best possible learning environment for both our students and instructors. To achieve this goal, we have established the following policies and procedures:

Registration

To secure a spot in our classes, we charge a small annual (non-refundable) registration fee in addition to class fees. Please refrain from paying the registration fee until we have confirmed space availability. Spots are not secured until the registration fee has been paid. We cannot accept charter funds for the registration fee.

Class Fees/Charter Funds

We accept charter funds as well as private pay. We are currently a vendor with South Sutter, Clarksville, Feather River, Cottonwood and Horizon. Class fees must be paid before the first day of each semester. If using charter funds, it is the parents' responsibility to make sure that Placer Enrichment has received your voucher before the first day of each semester.

Class Cancellation

If a class does not receive the minimum number of students needed for enrollment, Placer Enrichment reserves the right to cancel the class. In the event of an unplanned circumstance requiring a single day of classes to be canceled, we will send a notification to all families. Unexpectedly canceled classes will not be made up and are non-refundable.

Refunds

Due to our small class sizes, we are not able to offer refunds.

Volunteer Requirements

To make this program possible, each family is required to sign up for volunteer slots each semester. Our greatest need is help with setup and breakdown.

If your child attends a Monday/Wednesday class (Fruitvale Location), you are required to volunteer for 4 slots per semester. For all other classes, 1 slot per semester (as needed) is required.

Families who attend Monday/Wednesday classes (Fruitvale Location) are expected to choose their slots before the first day of each semester. If no slots are selected, they will be assigned. Please keep in mind that if you are setting up or breaking down, your child(ren) must be with you at all times. We cannot allow them to be unsupervised outside.

We understand that volunteering may not be possible for everyone, and we offer an opt-out option for a fee of $125 for Monday/Wednesday students.

Before and After Class

For safety reasons, students are not allowed to run in the parking lot or play in the yard before or after class. After class, students must wait in front of the schoolhouse until a parent arrives.

Late Arrivals

We ask that parents ensure their students arrive to class on time. Late arrivals can be disruptive to the classroom environment and may cause the student to miss important instructions or activities.

Behavior Expectations/Bullying

We have a zero-tolerance policy for bullying, physical abuse, verbal threats, or any other disrespectful behavior. We expect students to treat their peers and instructors with respect. If we observe any of these behaviors, Placer Enrichment reserves the right to remove the student from all classes without a refund.

Release of Liability

During the registration process, guardians must fill out Placer Enrichment's Release of Liability form located on the website, and agree to the terms and conditions. Students may not attend classes without a signed form.

Health Procedures

If your child is sick, please refrain from sending them to class. If a child is sent to school sick, parents will be contacted to come and pick them up.
